Levines has been a proud, family-owned business for over 100 years, now specializing in uniforms for both public and private schools.

In 2015, Levines entered a new chapter as a woman- and minority-owned business when Socorro Dismore had the opportunity to buy into the company and became the majority owner and CEO.  Socorro and her family immigrated to Dallas in 1981 in search of a better future. One of 13 siblings, her journey mirrors that of many hardworking immigrant families determined to succeed.

At just 16, Socorro began working at Levines—and never left. Over the years, she transformed the business from a fashion retail store into a community-focused provider of school uniforms and branded workplace apparel.

Driven by passion and perseverance, Socorro has achieved more than she ever imagined. Her goal is to build a legacy for her family.  In addition to leading Levines, she has built a thriving real estate company, opened (and later sold) a successful restaurant in the vibrant Bishop Arts District, and raised two children alongside her husband, David.

Through it all, Socorro remains grounded in her faith, giving credit to the Lord for every step of her journey. Her story is one of resilience, vision, and family—and it's the spirit that continues to guide Levines today.
